In an online auction, a fan of Johnny Depp has allegedly paid £45,000 to play a non-speaking extra, in a scene with the star in the new movie ‘Public Enemies’.
The auctions raises money through charitybuzz.com for the Robert F Kennedy Memorial Fund.
The part was advertised on the auction site as ‘Bid now on this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to make your big screen debut on PUBLIC ENEMIES in a non-speaking role in a scene with the amazing Johnny Depp’ which was donated to the auction by Universal Studios.
Other lots included a tennis lesson for two with Andre Agassi, and a chance to attend the premiere of ‘Marley & Me’ which includes meeting the Co-Star Owen Wilson.
The name of the highest bidder has not yet been revealed.
The movie is due to released in 2009, and Johnny plays the role of John Dillinger, an American gangster along with his gang who the Feds try to bring down after a boom in crime in the 1930’s.
