Amy Winehouse made another visit to a London police station by appointment yesterday before being arrested for possession of Class A drugs.
She was arrested as a result of the video that was made public back in January, where she was seen to be allegedly smoking crack cocaine.
The 24-year-old, was originally questioned under caution in February and was not due for further interviews until June, however, the date was moved forward to yesterday.
It was only ten days ago that Winehouse attended a police station, voluntarily, for allegedly attacking a man on a night out in Camden.
Winehouse’s spokesman released the following statement on a US website “Amy Winehouse voluntarily attended a London police station today by appointment”.
“She was arrested in order to be interviewed and is cooperating fully with inquiries. The interview relates to a video handed to police earlier this year.”
A Scotland Yard spokesperson said “Around 1pm today a 24-year-old woman from the Camden area attended a London police station by arrangement and was arrested in connection with the alleged possession of a controlled drug.”
“She remains in custody. This is in connection with an investigation connected to footage passed to the Metropolitan Police on January 22.”
Winehouse was later released on bail and was photographed leaving her home again at 4am to visit a petrol station to stock up on supplies of magazines and drinks, while chatting to photographers.
Rumours of the break-down of her marriage to Blake Fielder-Civil have recently been in the newspapers, after it was claimed that the singer is dating her assistant, 22-year-old, Alex Haines, while the incarcerated Fielder-Civil has been linked to a mystery blonde who has been frequenting the jail.
Winehouse has supposedly been staying with Mark Ronson at his home in Henley, while the pair are working on the new Bond theme tune, A Quantum of Solace, however, Ronson was reported to have said last week that Winehouse is “not ready to record any music.”
