It has been confirmed that Amy Winehouse was rushed to hospital and put on a drip yesterday.

The singer was said to be dehydrated as she battles her drug addiction and had been taken to a private London clinic under a false name.

A spokesman for Winehouse said that she was looking very pale and thin and her father is reported to have said that she has been suffering horrendous withdrawal symptoms but she was making good progress although she will be in rehab for a long time.
