Britney Spears was seen strolling along the street at the weekend with her sons, Sean Preston 2, Jayden James 17 months and her father.
The troubled star was later seen meeting Mel Gibson for dinner with a group of people at the Romanov Restaurant in Studio City, Los Angeles on the Saturday evening.
The pair were both said to have stuck to soft drinks and water and Britney left the restaurant around 8.15pm looking relaxed and happy.
Mr Gibson and Ms Spears were once neighbours in Malibu.
It looks like Britney is on the road to recovery at last and the same for Mr Gibson who is himself a former alcoholic and had previously been arrested for drink driving.
