Following their four-years of marriage, Ashley and Cheryl Cole have been granted a divorce today at the High Court on the grounds of the footballers unreasonable behaviour.

The couple met in 2004, became engaged in 2005 and married in 2006 but in 2008 their marriage was in trouble following reports of Ashley’s infidelity.

The couple must now wait for the decree absolute which will be issued in about six-weeks time for the final ending of their marriage following their separation in February of this year.

Kerry Katona was arrested yesterday accused of assaulting her accountant after punching him in the face and then throwing a cup of tea over him.

The 28-year-old, allegedly blamed the accountant for her financial problems before allegedly attacking him and throwing equipment around his office.

Cheryl Cole is the new spokes-model for the global cosmetic brand L’Oreal Paris, which she will represent in the UK ‘Because she’s worth it’.

The 26-year-old Girls Aloud singer, has said to have accepted a lucrative deal with the company and her first campaign is to be a new hair product ‘Elvive Full Restore 5′.

The singer Ellie Greenwich has died at the age of 69, after suffering a heart attack in a New York hospital where she was being treated fro pneumonia.

Famous for the 1960’s tunes ‘Da Doo Ron Ron’ and ‘Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)’, she also wrote hits for ‘The Crystals’ and ‘The Ronettes’

Simon Cowell managed to get his hands on the latest Chanel handbag, with an estimated price of £7000, for the Alexandra Burke’s 21st birthday, despite there being a year long waiting list.

The X Factor winner, celebrated her birthday on Tuesday and was said to have been left speechless and in tears as she was presented with her dream gift.  Cheryl Cole allegedly treated the singer to a £5000 holiday in the Seychelles while Dannii Minogue opted for a Tabitha bag.

Mia Farrow intends to begin a hunger strike on Monday in her quest to raise awareness for the people of Darfur after the Sudanese Government expelled international aid agencies from the country in March.

The 64-year-old actress, intends to drink only water for 21-days and has received medical advice and is aware of the permanent damage that can be done to her body, particularly her internal organs, by fasting for such a long period of time.

The gorgeous Girls Aloud singer Cheryl Cole, has been voted FHM’s most Sexiest Woman for 2009, beating last years winner Megan Fox, who came second.

10 million of the magazine’s readers voted for the 100 most sexiest woman in the poll which has been running now for fifteen years.  Jessica Alba was in third place followed by Britney Spears, who only managed 31st place in 2008.

Family and friends attended the farewell party for the cancer victim Jade Goody last night as I reported yesterday and unbelievably, at the celebration of her life, it was announced that they now planning a musical based on her life.

Apparently, there is also to be a nationwide talent search for the person to play Goody’s part in the production and they are hoping to begin the production in the next few weeks.  Sorry, but this is so wrong the world has gone totally mad!

Mamma Mia star Pierce Brosnan’s Irish eyes must be smiling today as he tops a national UK poll to unearth the sexiest Irish celebrity, with 14% of the country and over a quarter (26%) of UK women finding him the sexiest Irish star.  Bad boy Colin Farrell and singing stunner Andrea Corr both came in second place polling 10% of the vote each, with Hollywood hell-raiser Colin also scoring with the boys – 3% of British men think he’s the sexiest Irish star.

The YouGov* survey, commissioned by communications consultancy Eulogy! to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, wasn’t good news for all – poor Louis Walsh must have mislaid his X Factor as he didn’t score a single vote when even smooth-tongued presenter Terry Wogan managed 2% of the vote.  And, unlike their music, musicians Bono and Bob Geldof didn’t even get a look-in in the top 10, both polling enough votes for an equal fifteenth place (1% each).

The top three sexiest Irish women, as voted by the men, are: Andrea Corr in first place (with 19%), the One Show’s Christine Bleakley second (with 11%) and Girls Aloud’s Nadine Coyle third (with 10%).  However, Bangor beauty and Dancing On Ice star Zoe Salmon scored highly in her home region of Northern Ireland with 16% – coming in overall first place in Northern Ireland.

And the sexiest men, as voted by the women: Pierce in first place with 26%, Colin Farell second with 17% and Ronan Keating third with 13% of the vote.

Natasha Richardson, daughter of Vanessa Redgrave is critically ill in hospital after suffering head injuries in a skiing accident in Canada yesterday.

Richardson is also the sister of Joely Richardson and is married to Liam Neeson who has rushed to her side leaving his filming in Toronto.  The 45-year-old actress was initially given emergency treatment at a nearby hospital before being transferred according to reports.

Jade Goody

The christening of Jade Goody and her son’s is now unlikely to take place as Jade is now too ill to go ahead with the ceremony.  She is now heavily sedated after the last operation to relieve the pain she had been suffering.

There is a chance that she could be baptised at the hospital chapel or that a ceremony could be arranged at short notice if her condition improves.

Peter Tork, guitarist with the 1960’s group the ‘Monkees‘, has revealed that he is suffering from a rare form on cancer, which effects the head and neck.

The 67-year-old, has been told that the prognosis is good, and was expected to undertake extensive surgery in New York yesterday followed by radiotherapy.

As the celebrities continue their charity trek to Kilimanjaro, they have been boosted by the news that they have now reached the £1 million mark on their fund raising efforts.

They are now on day six of the climb which has seen some of them being severely hit by altitude sickness as well as getting a good soaking yesterday.  They will not be told the final amount they have raised until they reach the summit of Kilimanjaro.

Natalie Cassidy who plays Sonia Jackson/Fowler in Eastenders, has had her complaint against  ‘Woman’ magazine upheld by the Press Complaints Commission.

The magazine claimed that the actress had been going to the gym five days a week in preparation for her fitness DVD and that she had lost the weight solely through exercise shown on the DVD which was untrue.

Jade Goody and Jack Tweedy will tie-the-knot on Sunday following the christening of her two sons Bobby, 5, and Freddie, 4.

The boys have been fitted with Armani suits for their big day along with their future step-father Jack.  OK Magazine will be there taking exclusive pictures of the family while they celebrate.

Jade has also requested that ‘Girls Aloud’ play at her reception, which they have said they will do their best to be there.  Girls Aloud were presented with a Brit Award last night for the Best British Single ‘The Promise’, voted for by the public.

He is apparently seeking whether he can take action against the store which is planning to stock the garment retailing at £6.99.

Samantha Janus has become engaged to her partner Mark Womack, after ten-years together and the couple are planning an intimate spring wedding along with their children Ben, 8, and Lily-Rose, 3 and Mark’s son from a previous relationship Michael.

The Girls Aloud singers Kimberley Walsh and Cheryl Cole are taking to the hills after agreeing to take part in a trek up Mount Kilimanjaro, to raise money for Comic Relief.

The girls admitted to being more concerned about the camping out at night than the trek but at least they will have the company of other celebrities, as other celebrities joining in the Red Nose Day fun is Gary Barlow, Fearne Cotton, Chris Moyles, Alesha Dixon, Ronan Keating and Ben Shepard.

‘They think It’s All Over’ host Nick Hancock, has been given a six month driving ban after being caught speeding in Scotland.

He was clocked doing 95mph on the M90 between Perth and Edinburgh and was also fined £400 by the court after his fourth offence in three years.

It’s like going back in time as Mr Motivator has been signed-up to return to GMTV in the new year.  The fitness instructor Derrick Evans, will be going into the homes of viewers to motivate them to keep fit in an attempt to tackle the problems of obesity in the UK.

He was first around in the 1990’s when he got all those viewers reaching for their leotards, but now he will be joined by Dr Hilary Jones and Amanda Ursell, a nutritionist.

According to reports, those ‘Girls Aloud’ have called in the help of a couple of famous actresses for their Christmas special.

Julie Goodyear, who played Bet Lynch in Coronation Street is to play the part of Kimberley Walsh’s mum and Cilla Black will play the mother of Nicola’s.  One to watch our for over the festive season.

Madonna & Guy Ritchie

Madonna and Guy Ritchie are apparently getting their ‘quickie’ divorce today after being married for almost eight years.

Madonna is currently on tour in America while Ritchie is filming ‘Sherlock Holmes’ in Liverpool.  Ritchie was photographed out celebrating with his sons last night after agreeing joint custody of the children.

Kelly Brook was a busy girl yesterday in London, after launching her new perfume ‘Vivacious’ in Boots of Oxford Street in the afternoon she then headed to Bond Street to switch on the Christmas lights.

The actress, who turns 29-year-old on Sunday, made her West End debut in October in the comedy ‘Fat Pig’ at the London’s Capital Theatre.

Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz, have finally become parents.  Their son, named Bronx Mowgli, was born last night weighing 7lb 11 0z in Los Angeles.

The ‘Girls Aloud’ group have lent their support to a dog charity, who’s aim is to reduce the amount of abandoned dogs in the UK.

The girls said “We are all dog lovers ourselves so are fully supportive of the scheme which teaches kids what looking after a dog really involves.”
