Jennifer Ellison

Jennifer Ellison has married her partner Rob Tickle in a private ceremony in Mauritius before the birth of their first child which is due to be born in the new year.

The couple were due to marry originally last August but the wedding was put on hold when the pregnancy was discovered.  They allegedly phoned family and friends after the ceremony to tell them all the good news.

The funeral of Stephen Gately is to take place on Saturday after his sudden death at his holiday home in Majorca at the weekend.

The Boyzone singer is being flown home to Ireland on Friday for a private wake at his family home before his funeral at noon on Saturday.  The 33-year-old is believed to have died from natural causes after his autopsy revealed fluid on the lungs.

Paul O’Grady is said to be returning to ITV after signing an alleged £8 million deal following a breakdown in communication with his current channel 4 bosses.

The comedian is said to have been offered a Friday night chat-show in 2010 going head-to-head with Jonathan Ross’s prime spot show on BBC.

Joanna Lumley has won her campaign to provide all Gurkha veterans who served in the British Army before 1997, the right to settle in Britain.

Ms. Lumley became the face for the cause in 2008 and confessed to being “ashamed” of the UK administration’s decision to allow Ghurka’s the right to live in the UK only if they fitted a certain criteria.

Jonathan Ross will now have his ‘live show’ pre-recorded according to a BBC statement which also stated;

“Radio 2 has reviewed the way that we make all of our programmes since the end of last year.  Pre-recording Jonathan’s show enables us to ensure the programme is watertight due to compliance whilst attracting the best guests.  It’s common practice to pre-record radio programmes and both Radio 2 and Jonathan are very happy with the plan as we’ve been discussing the matter for many weeks.”

This week Sir Ranulph Finnes, 65, became the oldest Britain to reach the summit of Mount Everest, a case of third-time-lucky.

Finnes,is now known as the greatest living adventurer, according to the Guinness Book Of Records,  after also attempting to reach the North and South Pole as well as many other expeditions.

Jonathan Ross

The GQ magazine have released their latest poll on the worst-dressed men of 2009 with Jonathan Ross taking the top prize.  He was followed by Russell Brand, Gordon Brown, Jamie Hince and Rhys Ifans.

One of the criticism’s Ross received said, “His jokes aren’t funny anymore and neither are his suits.  His clothes make you cry”, while  Brand’s style was described as a “drag queen on acid”.

Whoopi Goldberg is to undergo a therapy session live on TV in America to overcome her fear of flying.  The actress has allegedly not flown for over a decade but now that she faces an appointment in London, she feels the need to end the fear.

She will appear on ‘The View’ tonight where she will go into a flight simulator and has admitted that she is not looking forward to the experience.

Farah Fawcett has apparently hit out at the paparazzi after she had asked them not to photograph her in a wheelchair on her recent returned to Los Angeles.

The actress who has been in Germany receiving treatment as she battles anal cancer allegedly said “Stress is what feeds your cancer.  Stress is what gives you cancer and then there’s the paparazzi giving you stress….Something has to be done.”

Russell Brand

Russell Brand was awarded a prize for the Best Live Stand-Up at the British Comedy Awards on Saturday night in Los Angeles.

The ceremony was originally to be hosted by Jonathan Ross but after the recent bad publicity, he was replaced by Angus Deaton.

Madonna is allegedly claiming more than £5million in damages after the publication of her private wedding photographs to Guy Richie.

The pictures were published in October this year on the front page of a major newspaper with no notification given to the singer, and were thought to have been obtained by an interior designer who was working at the house.

Beyonce Knowles has pledged to give her entire wages for the film ‘Cadillac Records’ to the Phoenix House, a drug rehabilitation centre in New York.

She claimed the centre helped her with her film role after staying there and said that she learnt a lot about herself while at the rehab facilities.

Stephen Fry

Stephen Fry has recently been filming his new programme ‘Stephen Fry In America’, and whilst there he made a visit to a Ben & Jerry Ice Cream factory in Vermont, where he created his own brand.

The ice cream named ‘Even Stephens’, is said to consist of vanilla, chocolate and walnut, and Fry said that it gives you “that feeling of comfort that ice cream delivers”.

Russell Brand and Jonathan Ross have been in the headlines for most of the week over the controversial comments recently made on their BBC Radio show.

Brand, is a PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) supporter, along with Andrew Sachs, and as Mr Sachs has graciously accepted Brand’s apology then “that’s good enough for us”, said the director of PETA.

Sooty, the original hand puppet and children’s favourite, has been sold at auction for a massive £3,100 to Richard Cadell.

Mr Cadell, last year paid nearly £1million for the rights of the TV character and who now be making a cameo appearance alongside the modern-day puppets on his show.

Kerry Katona

Kerry Katona has fired her PR man Max Clifford, after he gave a magazine interview saying how he had heard that she was drinking more and more.

He said in the interview that he was worried about the former ‘Atomic Kitten’ singer and has now confirmed that she has asked that he no longer represent her.

Jonathan Ross and Russell Brand have been suspended from all BBC radio and television programmes after the prank phone calls made to Andrew Sachs, who played the part of Manuel in Fawlty Towers.

The BBC received 18,000 complaints and came under enormous pressure to sack the pair of comedians who have offended a lot of people.

The Boyzone singer, Shane Lynch and his wife Sheena White, have become the proud parents of a baby girl named Billie Rae, born on Saturday.

The couple who married last August, are said to be delighted with the 7lb bundle, and are looking forward to having a house full of children in the future.
