The band ‘Westlife’ have cancelled their promotional tour of London after the sudden death of Nicky Byrne’s father yesterday.

Nicky Byrne Sr. is believed to have suffered a fatal heart attack at the age of 60, and his son has now flown back to Ireland to be with his family.  It is believed that the young Nicky had followed in his musician fathers footsteps who had been known his home country as a talented cabaret singer with his own band ‘Nicky and the Studz’.

Kym Marsh, who plays the part of a barmaid in Coronation Street, has won the title of ‘Celebrity Mum Of The Year’ for 2009 and also revealed that she is back in the arms of her boyfriend Jamie Lomas.

The 33-year-old actress and singer beat a host of other celebrities eager for the trophy, including Katie Price, Charlotte Church, Kate Garraway, Holly Willoughby, Geri Halliwell and Kate Moss.

The stars of Auf Wiedersehen Pet, have reunited to make a charity record in aid of the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation, as the song is a popular one for the fans of Newcastle United.

Jimmy Nail, Tim Healy and Kevin Whately, have been in the recording studio to record a new version of the Geordie favourite ‘ The Blaydon Races’, which features a new verse written in Sir Bobby’s honour after losing his battle with cancer in July.

Kym Marsh and Jamie Lomas have separated after a 15-month relationship and Lomas has now moved-out of his girlfriends Cheshire home.

The Coronation Street actress and the Hollyoaks actor admitted their relationship at the Soap Awards ceremony of 2008 and were rumoured to be engaged shortly afterwards.  Just a month later the couple revealed that they were expecting a baby, but unfortunately, little Archie was born too early, 18-weeks premature and died shortly after his birth.

Whitney Houston is to make her first TV appearance in the UK for 12-years, after it has been confirmed that she will be performing on ‘The X Factor’.

The singer will be appearing on the show on the 18th October, the day before the release of her first album since 2002, called ‘I Look To You’.  Robbie Williams and Alexandra Burke are the performers on this weeks show, with Shakira also making an appearance later in the series.

It appears that the relationship between singer Katy Perry and comedian Russell Brand is getting serious after the couple were recently spotted at John Galliano’s Paris Fashion Week show, holding hands and sitting far too close throughout the entire event.

The couple recently returned from a romantic break in Thailand after meeting for the first time at the MTV Video Awards ceremony and have been spotted together several times since.

According to reports, the father of Jesus Luz has said that his son and Madonna will marry soon in a secret Kaballah ceremony in New York.

He was also to have said that Jesus,22, is already living with the singer and her children and that he was unsure if the ceremony would be a legal marriage or just a type of ritual to show their commitment to each other.

Gerard Butler has been charged with assaulting a paparazzo in Los Angeles last October, after being followed by the photographer whilst driving.

Butler allegedly grabbed the member of the press by the throat before thumping him after endangering members of the public in his pursuit to get his photograph.

Kym Marsh was said to have been in horrendous pain at the Soap Awards ceremony on Saturday night after undergoing a breast enlargement only days before.

The Coronation Street actress, was forced to lay down in her hotel room earlier in the day with ice packs on her chest to relieve the pain.

Una Stubbs is the latest actress to join the cast of the comedy drama ‘Benidorm’ according to reports, after her arrival at the Spanish resort of the Costa Blanca last week.

The 72-year-old, is to play the part of Martin’s mother and it has also been announced that in the next series of the show, which begins at the end of the summer, will go to hour-long episodes.

Coronation Street star Kym Marsh and boyfriend Jamie Lomas have been left heartbroken after their baby boy was born prematurely last night and died seconds later.

Their son, who was named Archie Jay Lomas, was born eighteen weeks early after Ms. Marsh went into labour three days ago with doctors battling to stop the early arrival.

Nicolette Sheridan, who plays Edie Britt in Desperate Housewives, is too quit the show after playing the character for five-years.  Sheridan, who was once engaged to Michael Bolton, is hoping to go on to do other projects.

Jennifer Aniston celebrates her 40th birthday today and celebrations began last night with a party at her home.

Kym Marsh, the Coronation Street actress, has revealed that she and her new boyfriend, Hollyoaks star Jamie Lomas, are expecting a baby.

Marsh, formally married to Jack Ryder, is due to give birth in the Summer and said that they are delighted with the news.

After hosting the show for 35-years, Terry Wogan has quit the Eurovision Song Contest which will now be hosted by Graham Norton.

The competition is to take place in Moscow from next year with Britain’s 2009 song being written by Andrew Lloyd Webber.

Boy George, aka George O’Dowd, has today been found guilty of falsely imprisoning a male escort.  The singer handcuffed the escort to his bed while accusing him of tampering with his computer.

O’Dowd is expected to be sentenced on 16th January and has been warned by Judge David Radford, that he is ‘likely’ to face jail.
