According to reports, Farah Fawcett is said to be in a critical but stable condition in a Los Angeles hospital where she was admitted on Thursday.

The 62-year-old actress, has been apparently slipping in and out of consciousness as she continues to fight the cancer she has been suffering with for the past three years.

After thousands of mourners turned-out for the funeral of Jade Goody on Saturday, the family have now asked for her to be left in peace after the secret location of her final resting place was discovered by fans within 24-hours.

The family are preparing to hire security guards to protect the grave for fear that it will turn into a shrine and they will not be able to visit the plot when they want to.

Melanie Sykes is the latest name to be put forward as the replacement for Fern Britton on This Morning to co-star alongside Philip Schofield.

Fern will film her final show in July with Melanie expected to make her first appearance when the programme returns in September after it’s summer break.
