Paul Gascoine

Things continue to deteriorate for former footballer Paul Gascoine who was recently linked to a return to football management, a position that only a lunatic would dream of offering the once great footballing entertainer.

Following his admission to drink driving offences in Newcastle Magistrates Court on Wednesday, Paul Gascoine was arrested on Thursday evening in connection with an alleged drug offence.

Northumbria police would only say that a 43 man had been arrested for being in possession of a class A drug and a second 43 year old man had been arrested on suspicion of supplying drugs.

Both men were later released on bail.

Paul ‘Gazza’ Gascoigne was arrested this morning for being drunk and disorderly after a disturbance near his home in Newcastle.

The 42-year-old was taken to a police station after his arrest around 2.15am before being given a fixed penalty fine and released.

Twiggy is the latest celebrity to come under fire concerning airbrushing after it was revealed that her photograph for the Olay campaign had been heavily altered.

The advert is being criticised by watchdogs leading to calls to ban all airbrushing as it gives consumers a misleading impression.  The 60-year-old, was shown without a wrinkle in the Olay advertisement which differed from other photographs taken of the model around the same time.

The sister-in-law of Eddie Murphy,  Tisha Taylor Murphy, has died at the age of just 44 after a two-year battle with cancer.

The comedian/actor brother of Eddie, Charlie Murphy, married Tisha in 1997 and the couple had two children, a daughter Eva and a son Xavier.

Borat

Sacha Baron Cohen aka Ali G or Borat, was taken to a police station yesterday after strutting his stuff on the catwalk at the Milan fashion show uninvited.

Cohen had earlier in the week burst onto the stage at a show by an Italian designer and was grabbed by security guards.

Lily Allen has been accused of glamorising gun violence after being seen wearing a gold pendant around her neck shaped like a Uzi sub-machine gun.  I thought the delightful piece of chav jewellery, really suited her!

The rumours doing the rounds yesterday, were completely unfounded and Paul Gascoigne is not dead but alive and well and out and about.

Looking much older than his 41 years, Gazza, and still battling his self-inflicted illness, he was accompanied by a young blond that had definitely put a smile on his face, for now!

Isaac Hayes

The legendary Soul singer, Isaac Hayes, who also wrote the Shaft film soundtrack, has died at the age of 65-years-old.

The father of 12, grandfather of 14 and great-grandfather of 3, was discovered by his fourth wife, collapsed in a bedroom beside a running treadmill.

Gazza, aka Paul Gascoigne, has apparently gone AWOL again, after a row with his ex-wife Sheryl, the former football player, left and hasn’t been home for a week.

There is concern for Gazza, who has only recently finished treatment for his alcohol problem at a cost of a reported £98,000.

Another sad death this week, the actor and comedian Bernie Mac at only 50-years of age.  He had been treated in hospital for pneumonia, but died after suffering complications.

He was probably best known for his acting role in the movie ‘Charlie’s Angels’ where he played Bosley and also in the movie Ocean’s Eleven.

Paul Gascoigne and Sheryl, his ex-wife are planning to remarry its been reported.  The couple married for the first time in 1996, but divorced two years later.

Sheryl was a frequent visitor while Gazza was staying at The Priory clinic, and now that he has been released the couple are said to be reunited.

Courtney Love claims her weight loss is down to her Paul McKenna hypnosis sessions.  The singer apparently put on three stones after giving up drugs and after having tried lots of conventional diets, sought the help of McKenna.

Sean Bean was taken to a police station for the night on Thursday, after his wife claimed that the actor had grabbed and assaulted her.

His wife later dropped the charges and he was released six hours later and no further action is expected.

Unfortunately, he stopped there and they didn’t get a peak at his Armani briefs for which he has recently released his new advertising poster, but better than nothing I suppose!

According to reports, Gazza and his ex-wife Sheryl, are getting back together and have been spotted out and about with their 12-year-old son Regan.

Gazza is being treated at the Priory for is addiction to alcohol, but it is claimed that he intends to move back in with Sheryl when his treatment ends.

Fearne Cotton has revealed that Amy Winehouse used breast enhancers in her recent performance, a couple of bags of Haribo gums.

Ms. Cotton said,

“My producer offered her a mini bag of Haribo and she took two and stuffed them down her bra!  I’m not sure if she went on stage like that but her bust certainly looked voluptuous”.

The police were called to the four-star Millennium Hotel in Knightsbridge, after staff became concerned over Gazza’s condition.

The 40-year-old, had been drinking heavily and was behaving unpredictably.  He had booked into the hotel and an inside source said “He then rang down for a steak, but a few minutes later cancelled it, saying they should just bring him the steak knife.  The staff said ‘No way’ and immediately began to fear for his safety.  Gazza kept trying to reassure everyone by saying he was speaking to his psychiatrist.”

“It was about ninety minutes after he checked in and the hotel decided to call the police.  About ten officers then went to his room.  It was in complete darkness.  There were cigarette ends lying around and the gin bottle was on the floor.  The officers then heard splashing noises coming from the bathroom.  When Gazza heard the officers, he shouted, ‘I’ve ordered cocaine – I want cocaine’.

“The police went in and he was naked in the bath with the water a couple of inches from the top.  The taps were still running.  He told them if he couldn’t kill himself by slashing his wrists, he would drown himself.  Then he held his shaven head under the water.  The police dipped in to pull him up and hauled him out of the bath.  He was extremely emotional and distressed, crying his eyes out.”

“They made him dress and marched him to the hotel reception.  He was out of it, shouting that he did not want to go with them, and that he was going to call his psychiatrist.  Outside the hotel he refused to get in the van and began scuffling with the officers.  At one stage they told him he was being sectioned under the Mental Health Act.  He calmed down when they agreed he could be taken to a local hospital without handcuffs.”

In a separate incident on Saturday, he had apparently left the Kensington Royal Garden Hotel, after setting off the fire alarms by smoking in his room and was later spotted in a hair salon having his hair dyed bright red, which he obviously wasn’t that pleased with, and sometime in between shaved it all off.

Gazza was only freed from a psychiatric hospital two months ago where he was detained for two weeks under the Mental Health Act.

Gazza was collected from the hospital by his sister and taken to his father’s house after he was sectioned for his strange and erratic behaviour.  A friend of Gazza’s said “He needs the people who love him most now and they’ll be there for him.  But he knows its up to him now.  Gazza has received so much support from the public over the past three weeks.  He’s truly grateful.”

The 40 year old,  looked frail as he left the hospital but is said to be on the road to recovery.

He had apparently said his recovery is being helped by his 10 year old son, Regan who he has been playing the Nintendo Wii against on the Internet, he said “It’s good fun.  I’ve been playing Regan at ten-pin bowling on the Wii games.  He challenged me.”

His father, John 62, was to have said “It’s good to have him back.  He’s sleeping alot – he needs a lot of rest to help him recover.”

The police were called to the Hilton hotel in Gateshead yesterday evening after reports of concern for a 40 year old man staying there. A police spokesman said “The man was detained under the Mental Health Act and no-one was injured during the incident”.

Apparently, an incident had occurred earlier at the Malmaison Hotel, where he supposedly terrorised guests and staff at the hotel after a menacing rampage and grabbed a night porter by the throat whilst holding a steak knife.

A witness at the Malmaison Hotel said “He allegedly set off fire alarms at the hotel at 3am deliberately and when offered assistance with evacuation he became aggressive towards the night porter and grabbed him round the throat”. The witness went onto say “He became very agitated and had a steak knife in his pocket”. The hotel was forced to evacuate all of its guests until the fire service arrived.

The hotel manager was to have said that he was “potentially a menace to other guests. The guests in the room next to him were moved out as they felt intimidated”. Gascoigne was staying at the hotel to recuperate and is classed as a disabled guest at the hotel after hip surgery.

Gascoigne has been battling alcoholism and also has a troubled history of emotional instability and erratic behaviour.
