Following the end to his relationship with Katie Price, Australian singer Peter Andre appears to have made the most of being in the public spotlight and currently the singer can do no wrong as he resurrects a career that was dead and buried years ago.

Charmed by Andre’s honesty in the fly on the wall tv series The Next Chapter, fans simply cannot get enough of the antipodean as he progresses from the small provincial theatres in the UK to huge arenas and beyond, escalating to selected festival style events this summer.

The latest announcement from Andre’s camp is that he is to stage his show at Fontwell Park Racecourse on July 2nd for an open air festival spectacular.

Promoter Michael Taylor says; “The world has fallen in love with Peter, with fans following the meteoric rise of his career every step of the way on reality TV. From I’m a Celebrity to The Next Chapter we’ve watched avidly on national TV as he re-established himself as a successful recording artist. With Peter’s enormous fan base, a sell-out spectacular is promised.”

Andre will perform tracks from his latest albums Revelation and Accelerate as well as some of his other hits, which will surely include the song Mystery Girl that bought him to the attention of the music world back in the early nineties.

Ray Quinn in Grease

Ray Quinn, the X Factor runner-up was yesterday banned from driving for 28 days after being caught speeding on the M6 on August 2nd this year.

The 21-year-old who is currently playing the part of Danny Zuko in the West End show Grease, was spotted driving at 110mph as he passed an unmarked police car on his way to a children’s acting workshop and was also fined £1,600.

William Shatner, the Hollywood actor, has unveiled a wax work figure of his Star Trek character Captain James T Kirk at the Tussuad Museum in Hollywood.

He has joined the stars of film director Steven Spielberg, Alfred Hitchcock and Nicole Kidman to name a few and was said to be pleased with the likeness that will be around long after he has gone.

The son of Katie Price, Harvey, is now out of hospital where he has been staying since Wednesday after experiencing breathing difficulties and suspected swine flu.

Katie Price has been chosen as the celebrity to be set alight as the latest effigy for the bonfire night celebrations at Edenbridge in Kent, which is expected to draw crowds of up to 10,000 spectators as she goes up in flames.

The 27ft firework-filled guy complete with cleavage, will be donning a pink low-cut top, white jodhpurs and riding boots.  She will be seen holding copies of popular celebrity magazines in one hand whilst in the other is to be the heads of her former husband Peter Andre and current lover Alex Reid.

Sue Johnston, who played the part of the mother Barbara in the Royle Family is to be receive an OBE from the Queen at Buckingham Palace.

The 65-year-old actress, has played many parts over the years including eight-years in Brookside, with her character Sheila Grant.  Johnston is said to be honoured and delighted to receive the accolade.

The London Christmas lights were switched on last night by Jim Carey and Colin Firth, amid carol singers and Christmas trees in Leicester Square.

The two celebrities were in London to premiere the new version of the 3D Disney film, A Christmas Carol, with Carey turning on the lights in Oxford Street while at the same time Firth illuminated Regent Street.

According to reports, Robbie Williams has been recording in a New York studio with the rest of the boys from ‘Take That’. A  spokesperson said that the band are recording together to finalise their final mixes for their first ever live album but wouldn’t confirm if Williams was amongst them.

Robbie is due to make his solo comeback performance next month at the Camden Roundhouse as part of the BBC Electric Proms.

Footballer Yorke, gave an interview to a Sunday newspaper claiming that he was blocked access to his son and at his anger that Andre wanted to adopt Harvey.

Katie Price and Peter Andre, were divorced today in a hearing that was reported to have lasted less than one-minute.  Neither of the couple were at the High Court hearing today but each was given a decree nisi for the irretrievable marriage due to each others unreasonable behaviour.  According to reports the couple have reached a financial settlement as well as joint custody of their children.

George Clooney has allegedly pledged £12,000 to watch his former girlfriend Lisa Snowden’s charity parachute jump attempts.  Lisa will be doing two separate jumps for Shooting Star Children’s Hospice and Help a London Child.

The Scottish singer ‘LuLu’ is to become a grandmother for the first time after it was revealed that her son Jordan Frieda, from her marriage to hairdresser John Frieda, and his wife Alana Rose are expecting their first child.

The baby is due in December and LuLu is said to be thrilled at the prospect of meeting her first grandchild.  The 60-year-old said she has been told it’s better than having your own as you don’t have such a great sense of responsibility.

Peter Andre Twittered that he had the greatest honour of his life yesterday, when he sung his hit ‘Unconditional’ to the boxing legend Muhammad Ali.

Andre was asked to perform at the tribute dinner given in the honour of Muhammad Ali at the Britannia Stadium in Stoke-on- Trent.

The gorgeous George Clooney has apparently broken his hand after slamming it in the car door while on holiday at his Italian home near Lake Como.

The actor was treated at a private clinic in Switzerland and has had a temporary cast put on and dismissed rumours that he had suffered a road accident on his Harley.

The new Katie Price show ‘What Katie Did Next’, aired last night with a viewing total of 1.3 million viewers, growing to 1.5 million in the final 15 minutes.

Senator Edward Kennedy lost his battle with brain cancer last night at his home in Hyannis Port, Massachusetts, only weeks after the death of his sister Eunice Kennedy Shriver.

The 77-year-old, was diagnosed with a brain tumour in May 2008 and underwent an initial successful operation.  His health later began to deteriorate and he suffered a seizure after the inauguration of President Barack Obama.

Chris Brown has now been formally sentenced to six-months community service in Virginia for the attack on his former girlfriend Rihanna.

The court judge stated that the sentence was delayed earlier this month as she wanted to see what the state of Virginia had in store for the punishment as she wanted the singer to do actual physical labour, which is to include washing cars, removing graffiti and maintenance and ground clearance.

The boxing legend Muhammad Ali, returned to Britain today on his short tour of the UK, where he will later be meeting up with British boxer Ricky Hatten before attending a benefit dinner in his honour at Old Trafford.

The 67-year-old is fighting an ongoing battle with Parkinson’s disease and is unlikely to speak at the venue but wanted to return to see his old friends and fans including Sir Henry Cooper.

The son of Michael Douglas, Cameron, 30, was allegedly arrested at a New York hotel on July 28th after being caught with more than $18,000 worth of crystal meth on him.

It’s not the first time that the actors son has been in the news concerning drugs including numerous spells in rehab.  He was charged with possession of a controlled substance, believed to be liquid cocaine, when a syringe was found in his car in 2007.

Katie Price, has apparently confirmed her new relationship with cage fighter Alex Reid, but denies that she knew him before she separated from her husband Peter Andre.

The model aka Jordan, claims to have met Reid when she started attending a fight school after the break-up of her marriage.  The loved-up couple are now enjoying a few days away, in what has been described as a marathon sex session, at a rented villa in Marbella, Spain.

It doesn’t look like Ryan O’Neal is likely to win an award for Father of the Year anytime soon, after his estranged son Griffin O’Neal gave an interview on the ‘Larry King Live’ show.

The 44-year-old confirmed that his father, who he will only call Ryan, stopped him from going to the funeral of  Farrah Fawcett and also claimed that the actor was angry that Farrah’s illness had taken the attention from his own battle with leukaemia, despite being in remission for years.

Ryan O’Neal then announced that he had flirted with his daughter at the funeral of his former partner, not realising that it was his estranged daughter Tatum.  What a fantastic parent!

Eddie Izzard is doing his bit for Sport Relief, by running a total of 1000 miles in seven weeks after setting off from London yesterday accompanied by a sports therapist, a camper van and two tents.

The comedian is planning on running a total of 30 miles a day, but on only his second day he has blisters and a bandaged leg, allegedly he only started training four weeks ago for his epic journey.

According to reports, the mother of the late Jade Goody, Jackiey Budden, has said that she would like to have a baby girl in honour of her daughter.

The 51-year-old, feels that she could still get pregnant naturally, despite her partner having had a vasectomy and is hoping that they will get married next year!

Katie Price aka Jordan, has confessed that she intends to have more kids even if it means getting one of her homosexual friends to be the father in a recent magazine article.

The model also mentioned that she would consider her estranged husband Peter Andre as a donor, as they have had beautiful children together.

The 45-year-old singer, shocked fans when she attended the Michael Jackson tribute concert in 2001 in New York looking gaunt, two-years-later, she was allegedly in rehab fighting drug addiction.  Houston divorced her husband Bobby Brown in 2007 and was awarded custody of their daughter.

Katie Price has claimed that the £100,000 she was reportedly paid for the Piers Morgan interview on the break-up of her marriage to Peter Andre, was donated to charity.

Price wrote on her Twitter account, that the money went to ‘Vision Charity’ and thanked everyone for their support before flying out to Los Angeles.
