According to reports, actor Ricky Whittle, a contestant on the latest series of ‘Strictly Come Dancing’, has been arrested on suspicion of assault outside of a nightclub.

The incident was said to have happened in the early hours of this morning and the 29-year-old is believed to be being held at a Liverpool police station.

Robbie Williams proposed to his girlfriend Ayda Field live on radio in Australia yesterday but insists that it was just a bit of fun and that they are not engaged.

The singer was appearing on Sydney’s 2DayFM promoting his latest album when he called Ayda into the studio and proposed to her, however,  a spokesperson for Williams stated that it was done in a jovial manner despite Robbie’s mother confirming the engagement.

Shakira is launching a competition, aimed at up-and-coming musicians to audition on her website which will be voted for by her fans.  The chosen finalists will then be auditioned by her and will be given the chance to open her world tour next year.

The singer feels that there are a lot of talented artists out there and she wants to help them reach the big time by selecting the best to appear at her concerts.

The style guru Gok Wan, best known for his actions in getting people to look good naked, is instead urging business people around Hampshire to wear red clothes instead.

For a donation of just £2, going towards a charity that helps people in crisis throughout the UK and overseas, employees will be able to ditch their business suits and don red clothing to raise money for the cause.

Denise Van Outen and her husband Lee Mead have announced that they are expecting their first child due to be born in May 2010.

The couple married in a romantic setting in the Seychelles in April of this year after meeting when the 35-year-old was a judge on the talent show ‘Any Dream Will Do’, where her husband was a contestant.

Robbie Williams is set to take to the stage with the rest of the band ‘Take That’ for a special ‘Children In Need’ charity gig on Thursday at the Royal Albert Hall.

Cheryl Cole is also reported to be attending and will perform with Snow Patrol where she will be covering the female vocals on the hit ‘Set The Fire To The Third Bar’.  Sir Paul McCartney, Leona Lewis and Dizzee Rascal are also expected to make an appearance.

Jo and Ronnie Wood are now divorced after their 24-year marriage ended on the grounds of the singers admitted adultery with the Russian waitress Ekaterina Ivanova.

Jo was granted the decree nisi from the judge at the High Court’s Family Division in central London today although she did not personally attend the hearing.

According to reports, Robbie Williams has been recording in a New York studio with the rest of the boys from ‘Take That’. A  spokesperson said that the band are recording together to finalise their final mixes for their first ever live album but wouldn’t confirm if Williams was amongst them.

Robbie is due to make his solo comeback performance next month at the Camden Roundhouse as part of the BBC Electric Proms.

Peter Andre and Katie Price have actually agreed that Pete is more of a dad to the models 7-year-old son than his biological father Dwight Yorke.

Footballer Yorke, gave an interview to a Sunday newspaper claiming that he was blocked access to his son and at his anger that Andre wanted to adopt Harvey.

Ken Livingstone married his long-term partner Emma Beal at the weekend at a rather unusual venue, near the Reptile House at London Zoo.

Apparently, the reason this location was chosen was to stop the children getting bored at the ceremony.  The 65-year-old former mayor, presented his usual morning radio show just hours before the wedding took place.

The funeral of actress Wendy Richard took place yesterday at St Marylebone Parish Church in Central London attended by a host of stars.

The mourners were given an order of service on their arrival, and keeping her sense of humour to the very end, the 65-year-old had added a recipe for her favourite ‘chilli con carne’ on the back.

Britney Spears recently spent time at a children’s hospital in Florida on a day off from her ‘Circus Tour’ where she chatted to the young patients.

According to reports the singer left a donation of £100,000 for the ‘Big Apple Circus Clown Care Programme’, which entertain the patients across the country.

Robbie Williams is to make an appearance on our screens this Friday as part of a Comic Relief sketch alongside the stars of Little Britain Matt Lucas and David Walliams.

Robbie appears as a little girl, complete with dress and pigtails, who attends a sleep over with the character played by Lucas, while Walliams plays the part of the mum.

Jade Goody was christened along with her sons at the weekend in a ceremony at the hospital where she is receiving treatment to alleviate the pain she is suffering with her terminal illness.

The 27-year-old arrived in a wheelchair at the hospital chapel after being too ill to attend the church she had originally booked for the service.  Jade is said to be happy that she has now finally fulfilled her wishes, to be married to Jack Tweed and for her and her boys to be christened.

Paris Hilton has been the victim of a burglary at her Los Angeles home where $2 million worth of jewellery was stolen.

The heiress was not at home during the robbery as she was attending the birthday party of Christina Aguilera, however, the burglar is believed to have been caught on camera.

Robbie Williams has rushed to be at his mother’s bedside in the UK from his Los Angeles home as she underwent heart surgery.

The singer has not yet been able to see his 67-year-old Jan, as she is still in intensive care but if all goes to plan she will be on a cardiac ward on Monday.

According to reports, Michael Jackson has developed a rare lung disease which could kill him if he doesn’t have an emergency transplant.

The statement was made from the author of a book on the singer although a spokesperson for Mr Jackson refused to comment on the claims.

Robbie Williams has said that fans should watch out for him on ‘Celebrity Come Dancing’ towards the end of the summer next year.

After returning to the UK recently, Williams confessed that despite the English weather he needed to return to his roots and be amongst the Brit’s, and now plans to show off his dancing skills on the show.

According to reports, the 100-year-old grandmother of Dawn French, was robbed at her home yesterday after being tricked by two men who she thought were there to collect her rubbish.

They stole £400 from the pensioner after she let them into her home.  After they left she realised the money was missing and the case is now being investigated by police.

Kate Moss has secured a deal to design fashion for Top Shop for another three years where she will also be adding lingerie and accessories to her collection.

Items from her last collection which was put on sale in October of this year, sold out within 15-minutes of the stores opening.

Reg Varney who played the part of Stan Butler in ‘On The Buses’ during the 1970’s, has died at the grand old age of 92.  His daughter said that he died ‘peacefully’ after a short illness at a nursing home in Devon.

According to reports, Robbie Williams is to appear with ‘Take That’ for a television special this week in ‘An Audience with….’.

Robbie plans to sneak into the filming as a surprise guest and should be spotted in the audience when the camera’s pan the crowd.

Kelly Osbourne has allegedly got engaged to her boyfriend Luke Worrall, after six months of seeing each other.

Rumours of the couples future began when Osbourne was spotted wearing a ring in September, but now Worrall has announced it on his Facebook page.

Kerry Katona has confessed to being an alcoholic after previously denying having a drinking problem while being interviewed by Fern Britton and Phillip Schofield.

The 28-year-old singer, admitted to being diagnosed as an alcoholic after a stay at The Priory four-years-ago.

Robbie Williams and Gary Barlow from ‘Take That‘, were pictured together yesterday at a football match between Arsenal and Manchester United.

Robbie’s been spending most of his time in Los Angeles working on his new album ‘Rudebox’, while Gary continues with the rest of the band, who will be touring again in the new year.

Paul McCartney, is too be one of the character voices in the next Shrek movie ‘Shrek Goes Fourth’, alongside Mike Myers, Cameron Diaz and Antonio Banderas, which is to be released in 2010.

Zara Phillips

Zara Phillips broke her collarbone after a fall at an equestrian event at the weekend which also badly injured her horse who had to be put down by vets.

The daughter of Princess Anne was participating at the Pau International Horse Trials in France when the horse stumbled at a jump.  Ms. Phillips landed face first while her horse suffered a broken back.

Jo Whiley, the Radio DJ, has given birth to a baby girl, her fourth child weighing in at 8lbs 12oz on Sunday.  The baby has been named Coco Lux and is a sister to India,16, Jude, 9, and Cassius, 7.

Summer 2009 is going to be something to look forward to as those lovely boys from ‘Take That’, minus the lovely Robbie Williams, have confirmed they will be performing in a British Stadium tour.

Jordan aka Katie Price, has supposedly claimed that she will be running in the London Marathon next year, in a bid to raise thousands of pounds for charity.
