Rod Stewart and his wife Penny are expecting a new addition to their family after announcing that a new baby is to arrive just before Mrs Stewart’s 40th birthday.

The couple have a 4-year-old son together Alastair and have been trying for a sibling for a while with both said to be thrilled with the news.

Rod, 65, and Penny have been together for 10-years and have just celebrated their third wedding anniversary in Italy where they learnt the good news.

The baby is due in the new year after and is to be the eighth child for the singer who has a daughter Sarah, 46, Kimberly, 30, Sean, 29, Ruby, 23, Renee, 18 and Liam 15.

Coronation Street actor Simon Gregson, who plays the part of Steve McDonald, became a father again for the second time on Sunday, two-months earlier than expected.

Gregson’s fiancee Emma Gleave wasn’t due to give birth until the middle of September but went into labour and delivered a healthy baby son, who has been named Harry after the actor’s grandfather.  The couple already have a son named Alfie, who is nearly two-years-old

The former wife of Rod Stewart, Alana Stewart, is allegedly set to publish the diary she wrote with her best friend Farrah Fawcett, surrounding her fight with anal cancer.

The pair had been friends for 30 years and Ms. Stewart feels that the book will be a heartfelt tribute to the actress who lost her battle in June.

Thousands of Michael Jackson fans have been congregating at the 02 Arena in London since yesterday, in what would have been the start of the King Of Pop’s 50 concert dates.

Fans have been encouraged to take flowers and candles for the vigil while they sing his hit songs and reminisce.  The atmosphere is now said to be more of a celebration of the singers life than the grief and shock that was shown surrounding his death last month.

Rachel Hunter, former wife of Rod Stewart, has been left devastated after her fiance, Canadian Ice Hockey star Jarret Stroll, cancelled their wedding seven weeks before the big day.

Allegedly, Stroll has failed to give a reason for the cancellation after the couple had been dating for two years and become engaged in August 2008.

Sarah Jessica Parker and her husband Matthew Broderick, have become parents again after their twin daughters were born to a surrogate mother on Monday.

The couple were unable to conceive naturally after the birth of their son, 6-year-old James, and have now welcomed Marion Loretta Elwell, weighing 5lbs 11 oz and Tabitha Hodge, who was 6lb 1oz.

Sarah Parish, who played the part of Allie Henshaw in ‘Cutting It’, and her husband James Murray, who also co-starred in the programme, are raising money for the children’s unit at Southampton General hospital where their sick daughter was treated.

Their beautiful daughter Ella-Jayne was born with a serious heart condition and spent the first four months of her life at the hospital.  Sadly, Ella-Jayne died at the age of just 8-months-old in January 2009.

The private funeral of Danny La Rue has taken place at a Catholic Church in Kensal Rise, London as celebrities and friends paid tribute to the star of stage and screen.

La Rue died just before midnight on 31st May at his home at the age of 81, after a long battle with cancer, was once described by Bob Hope as “The most glamorous woman in the world”.
