Rolling Stones man Ronnie Wood has landed a new career as a Radio DJ it was announced today and will be hosting a weekly show on Absolute Radio.

The guitarist will be telling anecdotes and giving listeners and insight to music as he’s accompanied on the programme by his faithful guitar.

A spokesperson for Absolute Radio said;

“Ronnie will be casually twanging, strumming and picking riffs on his acoustic and other guitars between tracks.

“Ronnie will invite the listener into his life as every record he plays will come with another story – a memory, a tale of debauchery or inspiration.”

The 62-year-old will be presenting his slot on Absolute Classic Rock, Friday evenings at 6pm followed by Absolute Rock on Saturday nights at 10pm from the 8th April.

Shakin' Stevens

Shakin’ Stevens has been in court this week to face charges of assault after an alleged confrontation with a member of the paparazzi.

The 61-year-old singer, who’s real name is Michael Barrett, was accused of forcing a microphone stand into a photographers camera despite photographs not being permitted.  Stevens was adamant that this had not been the case and was said be angry and frustrated that things had gone this far.

Kendra Wilkinson, a former Playboy Playmate of Hugh Hefner, has given birth to her first child this morning, a son who she has named Hank Baskett IV.

The new arrival was born by cesarean section and weighed an impressive 9lb 5oz, despite being two-weeks early.  Kendra and her husband American footballer Hank Baskett are said to be thrilled with their new son.

The relationship between Ronnie Wood and the young Russian waitress is finally over according to reports, with Wood apparently adamant that they will not get back together.

The Rolling Stones rocker was arrested recently for allegedly attacking his girlfriend in the street after a night out but was said to be happy being single at the moment.

According to reports, Kerry Katona is keen to get a new business going and it’s rumoured that she intends to open a Kebab Shop.

Katona is eager to start a small business once her bankruptcy crisis is over and is considering whether a sandwich bar may be a better option.

Dam Busters 1954

The actor Richard Todd, most famous for his role in the classic British war film ‘The Dam Busters’ has died at the age of 90 after battling with cancer.

The real war hero died peacefully in his sleep last night at his home in Lincolnshire, surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with his illness.

According to reports, Ronnie Wood could face charges after the assault on his 20-year-old girlfriend on Wednesday evening.

The 62-year-old, allegedly dragged his partner along the street by her hair before witnesses intervened when it appeared that the guitarist had the girl by the throat.  Ivanova was seen with ripped tights and grazes to her legs but insisted that she did not want the police involved.

Pamela Anderson is about to launch her pop career after it was revealed by Richie Rich that the two of them are recording a single together called ‘High’.

The pair are also launching a clothing line called ‘A*Muse’, which will be modeled by Anderson herself at the New York Fashion Week in February 2010.

Old Rocker

Ronnie Wood, the guitarist with the Rolling Stones, was allegedly arrested yesterday on suspicion of assault and has been released on bail.

Police have confirmed that a 62-year-old man was arrested in connection with a domestic incident and has been bailed until January pending further questioning.

Pop singer Lily Allen has confirmed that she will be taking a two-year break from her music career and plans to start a record label of her own and a fashion rental store.

The ‘Smile’ singer will appear at her last gig in March 2010, at the Dizzee Rascal concert taking place at the 02 Arena in London.

Kerry Katona is planning another new body for the New Year after piling on the pounds recently following her body make-over this year.

The former ‘Atomic Kitten’ singer said in a recent interview;

“I’m bankrupt and I can’t afford electricity. I’m in the house and it gets dark and I’ve got nothing to do. I’m cold, so I think, ‘Ooh, what do I want to eat?’. Then I just sit and watch a film, and stuff my face.” How do you watch a film if you have no electricity?

Denise Van Outen

Denise Van Outen and her husband Lee Mead have announced that they are expecting their first child due to be born in May 2010.

The couple married in a romantic setting in the Seychelles in April of this year after meeting when the 35-year-old was a judge on the talent show ‘Any Dream Will Do’, where her husband was a contestant.

Robbie Williams is set to take to the stage with the rest of the band ‘Take That’ for a special ‘Children In Need’ charity gig on Thursday at the Royal Albert Hall.

Cheryl Cole is also reported to be attending and will perform with Snow Patrol where she will be covering the female vocals on the hit ‘Set The Fire To The Third Bar’.  Sir Paul McCartney, Leona Lewis and Dizzee Rascal are also expected to make an appearance.

Jo and Ronnie Wood are now divorced after their 24-year marriage ended on the grounds of the singers admitted adultery with the Russian waitress Ekaterina Ivanova.

Jo was granted the decree nisi from the judge at the High Court’s Family Division in central London today although she did not personally attend the hearing.

Burt Reynolds

According to reports, actor Burt Reynolds has had a stint in rehab after becoming addicted to prescription medication, given to help with the pain he was suffering with after an accident.

Reynolds was treated for a similar problem in the 1980’s when he became dependant on sleeping tablets.  It is believed that the actor has now left the centre in Miami.

Mary Travers, part of the 1960’s singing trio Peter, Paul and Mary, best known for the songs ‘Puff The Magic Dragon’ and ‘Leaving On A Jet Plane’, has died of Leukemia.

The 72-year-old, died in hospital in Connecticut with her fellow folk partners declaring  that she handled her declining health with bravery and generosity.

It is claimed that the romance between Ronnie Wood and his young girlfriend is over following their public row on Monday when police were called to their home.

Wood’s apparently tried to sling the girl out of his home but was told by police that she had a right to stay there.  Wood’s was seen later with a suitcase moving to a flat he’d recently purchased before joining his estranged wife and family for dinner.

Eddie Izzard

Eddie Izzard completed his marathon trek around the UK yesterday, cheered on by thousands of supporters as he arrived at his final destination, London’s Trafalgar Square.

Izzard had run the equivalent of 43 marathons in 51 days to raise more than £200,000 for the Sport Relief Charity as he ran across England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales.

According to reports, the police were called to the home of Rolling Stones man Ronnie Wood, and his girlfriend Ekaterina Ivanova after the couple had a blazing row.

Neighbours in the London area where the singer and his partner are living, called emergency services as this row was much worse than the normal ones they have!

Jim Carey and Jenny McCarthy are as good as married after holding a special commitment ceremony in Malibu, surrounded by friends and family.

The couple have been together since 2005 but didn’t want to jinx their relationship by holding a legal ceremony, so instead they pledged their love for one another before honeymooning in Las Vegas.
