Pete Doherty has apparently been arrested in Germany following a night of drinking which ended in him throwing a glass at a parked car and smashing the rear window.

The incident took place at around 7am, Saturday morning after the Babyshambles singer had already been thrown-out of one pub.  Doherty was kept at the local police station for three hours before being charged with property damage.

According to reports, the 23-year-old daughter of Billy Joel and Christie Brinkley, was admitted to hospital on Saturday after taking pills at her Manhatten apartment.

It is not known what the pills were or whether it was an accidental overdose or a suicide attempt but the young singer is said to be recovering well.

The two contestants on I’m A Celebrity… Gino D’Acampo and Stuart Manning, have allegedly been charged with animal cruelty in Australia after trapping and killing a rat to eat while in the jungle.

The RSPCA Chief Inspector for New South Wales said;

“There’s no doubt that animals are killed every day for human consumption, but the legislation provides that that occurs in a manner that causes no unnecessary pain, distress or suffering.” The two are due to face the charges in court on February 3, 2010.

Matt Lucas hosted a memorial service on Sunday for his formercivil-partner Kevin McGee, who hung himself at his Scottish apartment in October.

Lucas was supported by Sharon Osbourne, Russell Brand and over 200 guests as he paid tribute to his with a heartfelt speech.
