Not only have a whole range of celebrities taken on the mantle, but – and maybe more importantly – they’ve been proud of the fact!

Sharon Osbourne, wife of former Black Sabbath lead Ozzy and one of the founding hosts of The X Factor, is a massive fan, and a great ambassador. Not only does she bring a bit of glitz and glam to the beautiful game, but she’s so down to earth! Pratt in the Hat

Pete Doherty has apparently been arrested in Germany following a night of drinking which ended in him throwing a glass at a parked car and smashing the rear window.

The incident took place at around 7am, Saturday morning after the Babyshambles singer had already been thrown-out of one pub.  Doherty was kept at the local police station for three hours before being charged with property damage.

According to reports, the 23-year-old daughter of Billy Joel and Christie Brinkley, was admitted to hospital on Saturday after taking pills at her Manhatten apartment.

It is not known what the pills were or whether it was an accidental overdose or a suicide attempt but the young singer is said to be recovering well.

The two contestants on I’m A Celebrity… Gino D’Acampo and Stuart Manning, have allegedly been charged with animal cruelty in Australia after trapping and killing a rat to eat while in the jungle.

The RSPCA Chief Inspector for New South Wales said;

“There’s no doubt that animals are killed every day for human consumption, but the legislation provides that that occurs in a manner that causes no unnecessary pain, distress or suffering.” The two are due to face the charges in court on February 3, 2010.

Matt Lucas hosted a memorial service on Sunday for his formercivil-partner Kevin McGee, who hung himself at his Scottish apartment in October.

Lucas was supported by Sharon Osbourne, Russell Brand and over 200 guests as he paid tribute to his with a heartfelt speech.

Kelly Osbourne came third in the final of the American programme ‘Dancing With The Stars’ last night while singer Donny Osmond walked away with the prize.

American singer Mya came in second on the show after the three remaining couples had to perform one last dance routine for a chance to win the mirror ball trophy.

Cerys Matthews has given birth to her third child, a son who arrived on Monday, eight-weeks earlier than he was expected but both mother and baby are said to be doing well.

The 40-year-old Welsh singer has not yet named her son, the first child for her partner/manager Steve Abbott, which was revealed on her website.

According to reports the singing girl group ‘The Pussycat Dolls‘ are splitting for good after disagreements between the band members.

The girls allegedly believe that lead singer Nicole Scherzinger took their limelight when she decided to perform alone, leading to rumours of fighting and jealousy amongst the remaining girls.

Rumours are growing about a jungle relationship between the contestants Stuart Manning and Sabrina Washington in the latest episode of ‘I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here’.

The former Hollyoaks actor was seen in an emotional state after his Bushtucker Trial, remembering his late father who died two-years ago with the singer offering him a shoulder to cry on.

Golfer Greg Norman and former tennis champion Chris Evert, have separated after only marrying in the Bahamas 15-months ago.

The two sports personalities, both left their former partners to be together in 2006, and it’s been reported that the split is down to the problems between Evert’s children from her previous marriage and their relationship with her new husband.

Ozzy Osbourne revealed in a recent magazine interview, that he was once mistakenly diagnosed HIV positive.  The mistake was apparently down to his wild days of drinking and drugs which had lowered his immune system.  The Black Sabbath singer, was given the all clear after a second blood test came back negative.

Simon Cowell celebrated his 50th birthday with a star-studded party at Wrotham Park in Hertfordshire at the weekend accompanied by his 82-year-old mother Julie.

The event was said to have raised a few eyebrows with it’s raunchy cabaret acts and naked dancers, leaving the music mogul trying to explain to his mother what the person dressed as female genitalia was supposed to be!

A medical examiner has ruled the death of DJ AM was an “accidental”, from “substance abuse”, after his body was discovered at his New York apartment.

The 36-year-old, who’s real name was Adam Goldstein, had taken cocaine, oxycodone, Vicodin, Ativan, Klonopin, Xanax, Benadryl and levamisole at the time of his death.

The TV presenter Nick Knowles, has been hailed a hero after rescuing a woman and her eight-week old baby from an overturned car he spotted in a field.

Knowles was travelling along a road near Somerset, when he came across the accident and along with a friend went to help.  After getting them out of the vehicle he waited for emergency services to arrive before phoning the woman’s husband to explain the situation.  It is believed that mother and baby are well with the mother only suffering slight injuries and are now back at their home.

Sarah Michelle Gellar, who played the part of ‘Buffy The Vampire Slayer’, and her husband Freddie Prinze Jr., have welcomed their first child into the world, Charlotte Grace Prinz, who was born on Saturday.

Kelly Osbourne made her debut on the American programme ‘Dancing With The Stars’ last night watched by her rocker father Ozzy and mother Sharon.

The 24-year-old performed a Viennese Waltz before rushing into the audience to hug her mum and dad while she was given a standing ovation, finishing the evening in second place.

The Michael Jackson tribute concert, is to be held on the 26th September, and much to every-one’s surprise, is taking place in Vienna.

Many fans of the late singer were expecting the concert to take place in London, where he had been booked to perform several concerts, but according to his spokesperson, Vienna was chosen because of Michael’s love of castles!

Chloe Madeley,the 21-year-old daughter of Richard & Judy, has become the latest victim of swine flu, according to reports.

The youngster was forced to pull-out of a charity bike ride on Sunday, alongside Shaun Wright-Phillips, where they were raising money for schools and housing projects in Central America.

Kelly Osbourne is set to become the star of her own reality show in the UK, which will also co-star her fiance Luke Worral, according to reports, likely to be shown on ITV2, where her brother Jack also has his own show.

New mum Billy Piper still has much to learn as she was photographed this morning, opening her car door on the side of oncoming traffic, getting her baby son Winston out of his car-seat.

With the car door wide-open, an oncoming truck was only inches away from not only ripping the door off her car but seriously injuring the actress and child.

Ozzy Osbourne’s beloved Pomeranian dog, was apparently killed and eaten by a coyote this week while the family were watching the memorial service for Michael Jackson.

His daughter Kelly made the announcement on Twitter, saying “He is devastated she was his other woman”, what more can I say!

Madame Tussuad’s in London have unveiled their latest waxwork of Michael Jackson, which was originally created to mark Jackson’s return to the city for his upcoming concerts at the 02 Arena.

The ‘King Of Pop’ is wearing a white t-shirt, black sparkly jacket, black trousers, black loafers and of course the white socks.  Competition winners have already seen the latest model and were able to have their picture taken alongside.

Shane Filan, one of the members of the boy band ‘Westlife’, has announced that he and his wife Gillian are expecting their third child.

The couple already have a daughter, Nicole aged 3, and a 9-month-old son Patrick, and kept the third pregnancy secret until Shane’s 30th birthday bash on Saturday, reporting that the new addition will arrive early next year.

The veteran actor Edward Woodward, has allegedly been hospitalised with a broken hip after a fall at his home several weeks ago.

After the injury failed to heal, Woodward attended a hospital for treatment and has been told that he will need a hip replacement operation, he is however, said to be in very good health otherwise.

According to reports, Sharon Osbourne has signed-up to appear on the next edition of the BBC 1 show ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.

The 56-year-old, previously said how eager she was to dance on the show and apparently her wish has been granted and is set to complete the contract within the next couple of weeks.

The new series of ‘Have I Got News For You’ begins again Friday, with the usual hosts Ian Hislop and Paul Merton heading the show, but who have they got lined-up for guest hosts this season?

Do you know who it is yet?  Yep, Rolf Harris, who admitted to be a fan of the show for several years and is really excited by the invitation to appear on the show for the first time.

Celebrities turned-out today for the funeral of Sir Clement Freud, on what would have been his 85th birthday.  The service took place at a church near Fleet Street in London and was said to be filled with laughter in a celebration of the former MP’s life.

Prime Minister Gordon Brown attended the service, where he paid tribute to his friend and colleague. Famous faces were spotted amongst family and friends of the writer, which included  Bono, Stephen Fry, Paul Merton, Graham Norton, Mel Smith and Lord Steel amongst others.

Singer Jamiroquai has allegedly had his Ferrari vandalised outside a hotel in a seaside town in Suffolk following a row.  A 21-year-old man has been arrested over the damage according to police and was being held in custody.

The windscreen and the drivers window of the £1 million vehicle had been smashed but when asked about the incident, Jay Kay declined to talk about it.

Jack Tweed, husband of cancer victim Jade Goody, has been convicted of assaulting a taxi driver after appearing in court today.  The 21-year-old will be sentenced on March 26th, where he could be facing another prison sentence.

Meanwhile, his wife Jade underwent surgery last night to ease the pain she has been suffering as her bowel became blocked.

Jade has been given only weeks to live but has said that she has now paid her boys school fees in full until they reach the age of sixteen, and she’s happy that they will at least have the education she didn’t have.

Sharon Osbourne is allegedly being sued by the playboy model that she poured a drink over live on an American Reality show.

According to an American report the lawsuit states that the victim was “greviously and permanently injured and hurt in her health, strength and activity”  which will prevent her from attending any occupation in the future.  Osbourne was accused of grabbing the victim by the hair and scratching her.
