R. Kelly, the R&B star, has been cleared of the child pornography charges in Chicago.  The singer best known for his hit ‘I Believe I can fly, was accused of making a video showing himself and an underage girl believed to be 13 or 14-years old.

The girl, now 23-years-old, did not give evidence about the incident which took place about ten years ago and R. Kelly had denied being the man in the video.

Wayne Rooney was apparently given a surprise gift at his wedding reception from his new wife, Coleen.  She had booked his favourite band ‘The Stereophonics‘ to perform a secret gig according to reports.

The band played for 45-minutes and a source said “They blew everybody away and Wayne was simply gobsmacked.  Stereophonics are one of his favourite bands - he looked like he’d won the Lottery.”

Amy Winehouse has performed in a private gig in Russia, for which she was allegedly being paid £1million, after being invited by the girlfriend of Roman Abramovich.

The audiance of 300 invited guests were rewarded with an hour long set by the singer, who thanked Daria Zhukova for the invitation and said thanks “to such a great night” through her spokesman.  A statement said “Amy was very happy to play her part in the restoring of such a great building to it’s future use as a space for contemporary art.”

The gig was the launch party of the ‘Garage Centre for Contemporary Culture’ in Moscow.
