(Wayne wasn’t allowed to choose his own outfit!)

Wayne Rooney and Coleen McLoughlin were married today in a 20-minute civil ceremony by the deputy mayor of Santa Margherita Ligure in Italy.

The deputy mayor said “No rings were exchanged and the ceremony was very simple yet very beautiful.”

The couple are now reported to be heading for the blessing at a nearby abbey but everything is being kept very secret because of the deal the couple have struck with OK! Magazine.

It was pouring with rain today as Coleen was seen leaving in a strapless white dress sheltered by umbrellas.

Jordan aka Katie Price made her debut in competitive dressage yesterday, coming sixth out of the 27 that entered. After the event she said “I really enjoyed it, I’ve got a rosette which is really good for me. I didn’t come here to win, I just wanted to participate and take part. It was a great crowd.”

Michael Barrymore, who was said to have given up drink and drugs, was spotted in a London bar last night looking a little worse for wear. He was drinking what appeared to be spirits and nodding-off in between drinks as he slumped in the corner of the bar by himself.

He apparently left the bar around midnight and headed to a restaurant which let him in even though it was closed. The staff were persuaded to cook him up a meal but said that he tried to eat it with his fingers so most of it went on the floor anyway. He then left but forgot to pay the bill and the owner said “He was a bit wobbly on his feet but polite. I didn’t want to go after him and embarrass him as he’s famous.”
