The ex-England footballer Mick Channon, has been seriously injured in a car accident which killed his best friend Tim Corby.
Channon’s 15-year-old son was also injured in the accident but it is believed he is just battered and bruised. Mr Channon will undergo surgery tomorrow to have his broken arm pinned and his broken jaw wired. He spent the night in intensive care after also suffering broken ribs and a punctured lung.
The new celebrity contestants for the ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ programme have been released today. The line-up consists of; Jodie Kidd, Lisa Snowdon, Rachel Stevens, Jessie Wallace, Christine Bleakley, Cherie Lunghi, Heather Small, Gillian Taylforth, Andrew Castle, Tom Chambers, Phil Daniels, Mark Foster, Austin Healey, Gary Rhodes, John Sergeant and Don Warrington.
A solid gold statue of Kate Moss is to go on display at the British Museum with an estimated value of £1.5 million.
The piece of art was made by Marc Quinn and is said to be one of the largest gold statue ever made.
