The veteran actor Edward Woodward, 79-years-old, died at the Royal Cornwall Hospital in Truro today after suffering from ill health for sometime.
Best known for his roles in ‘The Equalizer’ and ‘The Wicker Man’, Woodward was married to the actress Michele Dotrice, who is widely known for her part as Betty, the long-suffering wife of Frank Spencer.
Amy Winehouse was allegedly admitted to hospital on Sunday evening after the medication she was taking to fight a cold, had an adverse reaction to the prescription drug she takes in her battle with substance abuse.
After a doctor was called to the singers home she was advised to go to hospital to be checked over and to remain there overnight for observation.
A celebrity garage sale took place at the weekend in the car park of Selfridge’s in Oxford Street, to raise money for the Mothers4Children charity.
Denise Van Outen, Trinny Woodall, Yasmin Le Bon, Louise and Jamie Redknapp and David Wallliams, donned aprons and antler headbands with the celebrities each selling around £5,000 on each of the 45 stalls set-up with donations from the likes of Shirley Bassey, Gwyneth Paltrow, Elizabeth Hurley and Jodie Kidd.
