Actor Kiefer Sutherland, has had the assault charges against him dropped according to reports, as the victim would not co-operate with prosecutors.
Sutherland, 42, was accused of head-butting Jack McCollough at a Manhattan nightclub in May, breaking his nose, however, the pair are now said to have settled their differences.
It is claimed that singer Kelis, has given birth to a baby boy in a New York hospital, after going into labour yesterday. Her new son has been named Knight, and his father Nas, who is estranged from Kelis, was not allowed to be present at the birth. The singer filed for divorce from Nas in April of this year, citing irreconcilable differences.
Adam Yauch, a member of the Beastie Boys, has confirmed that he is suffering from cancer after a tumour was found in his salivary gland.
The musician is waiting to undergo surgery but is expected to make a full recovery, however, he did add that it will mean postponing the new album and upcoming tour while he has a little rest.
Frank McCourt, the author of Angela’s Ashes, died this week at a New York hospice after suffering meningitis. The 78-year-old, had recently been treated for metastatic melanoma, a skin cancer.
