Leona Lewis has apparently turned down a £1 million deal from the Harrods boss, Mohammed Fayed, to open the store for this years summer sale because they sell real fur.
The singer has strong principles on the matter and has been a vegetarian since the age of 12 and was voted the World’s Sexiest Vegetarian Celebrity this year by Petra, the animal rights campaign. The offer has now been accepted by Kim Cattrall, the Sex And The City star.
Meanwhile, Tamara Ecclestone, the daughter of Formula One magnet, Bernie Ecclestone, and a Sky TV Sports presenter, has posed for PETA’s anti-fur advertisement, wrapped only in a chequered flag.
Her slogan is “Going Fur-Free is the Winning Formula”. She believes that harming animals just for their fur is barbaric and who can disagree. Good for her.
