Mollie Sugden, best known for her role as Mrs Slocombe in ‘Are You Being Served’, has died at the Royal Surrey County hospital after a long illness, with her twin sons at her bedside.
The 86-year-old actress, apparently never recovered from the death of her husband, fellow actor William Moore, who was best known for playing the part of the husband in the TV Comedy ‘Sorry’, and died in 2000.
Kevin Jonas, 21, the eldest of the three singing brothers, recently proposed to his girlfriend Danielle Deleasa, and is overjoyed that she has said yes.
A spokesman confirmed the news and said that the whole family is delighted and that a date has yet to be set for their wedding.
Peter Andre has signed a £1 million record deal with the independent record label Conehead and is due to release his new single ‘Behind Closed Doors’ for download on the 10th of August.
The single will be played for the first time on Friday when it will be aired on the Chris Moyle’s show on BBC’s Radio One.
The American actor Karl Malden, best known for his role in the 1970’s police drama ‘The Streets Of San Francisco’, where he acted alongside Michael Douglas, died last night at the age of 97.
He passed away in his sleep at his home in Los Angeles where he lived with his wife Mona, who he married in 1938, and was said to be one of Hollywoods longest marriages.
