David Beckham was photographed this week receiving a ticket from a Los Angeles traffic cop.

The LA Galaxy star was pulled over in his £35,000 Cadillac Escalade, and was given an on-the-spot fine of £80 for making an illegal left turn at a right turn only junction.

He will also receive one point on his license or he has the option to attend traffic school.

Beckham was still smiling though, and so he should, as he has just regained his place as the world’s highest paid footballer after losing out last year to Ronaldhino.

In 1999, Beckham was convicted of speeding in his Ferrari in Alderly Edge, Cheshire. He successfully appealed an eighth-month ban after claiming he was only speeding to get away from pursuing paparazzi.
