The woman who has been stalking Little Britain star, David Walliams for four years was in court yesterday.
Sarah Bartholomew, 29, had bombarded the actor with emails, letters and poems and even hand-delivered them in person, turning up at his home.
Miss Bartholomew had been warned to stop contacting Mr Walliams but the emails then became more threatening. One in particular email that was sent to the actors agent, and said “David knows what’s coming to him” and added that “a big mistake had been made.”
Bartholomew admitted sending the correspondence, but claimed that she was “entitled” to write to him. In one message she told him “I’d rip off your pants in a sexual frenzy. You can have me how you want – I’m ever so bendy.”
After her arrest, she admitted to sending messages and said that she had just sent some more. She has also sent him underwear, cuddly toys, chocolates, a Doctor Who book and DVD’s of Are You Being Served.
Bartholomew had been banned from the BBC studio’s after trying to break into the stars dressing room.
In court she admitted to one charge of harassing Mr Walliams between October 2007 and February 2008. The Crown will be asking for a restraining order in due course.
The District Judge, adjourned sentence until Friday, and released Miss Bartholomew on condition that she did not contact the actor. “Offences of harassment are serious offences. You are certainly not going to go to prison for these offences, but the court will consider a community penalty”, he said.
