The funeral service of Dennis Hopper took place yesterday in Ranchos de Taos, New Mexico after the actor lost his battle with cancer on Saturday at his home in Los Angeles.
The 74-year-old’s acting career has spanned over more than 50 years but is probably best known for writing and acting in the movie ‘Easy Rider’.
The actors coffin was first taken to the adobe chapel at San Francisco de Asis church for a two-hour service before being laid to rest in a private burial in Mexico where Hopper lived for 12-years after falling in love with the place when filming Easy Rider.
The service was attended by Jack Nicholson, Peter Fonda and Val Kilmer as well as many family members and friends as they paid tribute to his life.
Hopper was last seen in public in March of this year when he attended the event of the unveiling of his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
