The Scottish actor, Ewan McGregor says that he is exhausted by the endless sex scenes in his new movie ‘Deception’.

In the film, McGregor plays a boring accountant who discovers a wild sex club in the new “seductive psychological thriller”.  In the club called “The List”, he meets and falls in love with a beautiful woman known only as “S” played by Michele Williams, who is kidnapped.

Over two days, he had to film a montage of sex scenes that required him to get it on with five different actresses that he had never met before.

When asked about the sex scenes, McGregor said “They’re interesting.  I’ve done a lot of them.  I try to find something about them that is realistic.  There are Hollywood glistening sex scenes, and I’m not very interested in them.  I don’t think they’re very interesting to watch… I think sex isn’t like Hollywood sex.  It’s very often many things, but it can often be awkward.  In these scenes they’re strangers, so they can be embarrassing.  And things don’t just go off like they do in a Hollywood movie.  I think finding these moments that make it real makes for the audience a much more erotic experience, or a much more powerful experience, because you recognise things you do yourself, or things that have happened to you.”

McGregor is married to Eve Mavrakis, a French production designer and they have three daughters.  He said “I’m not inhibited to take my clothes off in movies, because I think movies are a reflection of life, and in life we are naked a lot of the time - at least I am.”

In a report in the newspaper he said “I’ve done my fair share of sex scenes in my career, believe me.  But this was something else!”

‘Deception’, which Ewan thinks is a horrible title for the movie, also stars Hugh Jackman and opens Worldwide on April 24th.
