Todd Carty who played Mark Fowler in Eastenders and PC Gabriel Kent in The Bill was rushed to hospital on Saturday after collapsing on stage.
Todd, 44 years old, is thought to have suffered a heart attack at the Golden Craig theatre in Stevenage. It was during the play ‘ The business of murder’ in which he was playing a policeman when he suddenly slipped onto a sofa, coughed and collapsed.
There had been no warning signs and the audience thought it was part of the play but the actor was rushed to hospital where he stayed overnight.
