Bindi Irwin, daughter of the late ‘Crocodile Hunter’ Steve, celebrated her tenth birthday yesterday at Queensland’s Australia Zoo.  All children were let into the Zoo, free of charge yesterday as the party got underway.

Reports today say that Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s new twins were conceived via IVF treatment, so as Jolie could fall pregnant as soon as possible.

She can be seen on the Channel 4 chat show until next Tuesday and is said to be thrilled as she is a great fan of the show.

Des O’Connor is quitting ‘Countdown’ at the end of the current series to return to “entertainment-based shows”.

The 76-year-old will air his last show in November and a new host has not yet been revealed.

Amy Winehouse was the latest waxwork to be revealed at Madame Tussauds, and her parents Mitch and Janis were at the unveiling.

Mitch joked, “We’re going to take this one home with us and take the real one back.”  The waxwork had to be modelled on photographs and images after Winehouse refused to model for the creation.

John Cleese has had a species of Lemur named after him recently and has said,

“I’ve had a species named after me.  A Swiss guy discovered it.  He called and asked if I would give him permission to name it after me.  I would rather have that than a knighthood or peerage.”

The lovely Gary Barlow from ‘Take That’, is to become a father for the third time.  Gary and his wife Dawn, already have Daniel, 8, and Emily, 6, the new addition to the Barlow family is due in the new year.

Pete Doherty showed his caring side this week after he performed at the wake of a young cancer victim.  Daniel Squires, 16, met Doherty backstage after a gig and the two became friends until Daniel lost his battle with bone cancer.

Doherty attended the Golden Lion pub in South Tyneside where he took to the stage with friends of Daniel’s to play an emotional tribute.

Jamie Winstone, daughter of the actor Ray Winstone, took her mum along to her movie premiere ‘Donkey Punch’ last night, as her boyfriend Alfie Allen, brother of Lily, can’t bear to watch her in sex scenes.

The movie is about seven young adults meeting up in a nightclub at a Mediterranean resort, when they decide to continue the party aboard a luxury yacht out in the middle of the ocean.  However, one of the party dies in a freak accident and there is an argument about what to do, leading to a fight for survival.
