The Girls Aloud singers have joined the Beatbullying event which is being staged today around the country with millions of people showing their support for the campaign.

During the event, participants were asked to all stand up at 10am this morning to show the cowards that bullying, will not be tolerated.

It was reported that around 20 children a year commit suicide due to bullying, and already this week there are more stories of children taking their own life’s through taunts and teasing.

The Beatbullying Chief Executive, Emma-Jane Cross said “All forms of bullying are unacceptable, and everybody has a responsibility to tackle it wherever it occurs.”
