Nicola Roberts, one of the singers from Girls Aloud, has launched a new make-up range for paler skin.
The red-head, 22 year old made her launch at the London Restaurant ‘Sketch’, with her band mates, Cheryl and Kimberley there to support her.
Nicola has created the range, aimed at fair-skinned girls for part of a reality TV show ‘Passions’, which will be on ITV. The producers had apparently had asked the girls to “take on a challenge to fulfil a life-long dream”.
Nicola said to the Daily Mail “I know how difficult it can be to find the right sort of sexy look with the products already out there.” Kimberley added “Nicola has really put her heart into producing her make-up range and she really hopes that she can help people who are also pale like her.”
Miss Roberts had revealed that previously she had turned to drink as she was taunted because of her pale skin and attempted to fade into the background of the group to avoid the limelight. She said “For years I felt like the ugly one in Girls Aloud. I was tall, skinny, with red hair and the whitest skin you’ve ever seen - standing next to four of the most gorgeous girls in Britain. I was the ugly one, the odd one out. People on radio and TV started making nasty comments about me and I felt awful.”
Now hopefully, Nicola can put all that behind her and could help give a lot of other pale skinned girls more confidence in the way they look.
