The chart-topper Leona Lewis, was spotted with an engagement ring recently, even though she had denied rumours that she was set to marry her electrician boyfriend.

The 23-year-old singer, and her boyfriend Lou Al-Cham, also 23,  have been dating since she was seventeen and have known each other since they were children.

The couple live together in a flat in Hackney and he was with her as she won over the audience with her performances at her X Factor auditions.

An engagement was first reported last November which they denied although Leona admitted that she hoped to marry Lou in the future but also said that “I’m too young to talk about marriage and kids just yet.”

Leona is the first woman in 20 years to get a number one record in America with the song ‘Bleeding Love’, and she is set to star at the closing of the Beijing Olympics alongside David Beckham, where she will sing to a world-wide audience of approximately 150 million.
