Rachel Bilson
Star of the teen drama television series The OC, Rachel Bilson is featured in the UK InStyle magazine September issue and in an interview with the mag she reveals that she misses everyone from the show, referring to it as ‘a phenomenal time’.
Rachel Bilson says that she particularly misses Summer (Mischa Barton), and says of the younger actresses drunken exploits;
“I do fall out of cars, but not because I am drunk, but because I am clumsy. I think the girls who come to fame younger fall into all that [partying], but I did it before I became famous. I mean, I was 21 when The OC started, Mischa was 16. I can’t imagine dealing with that kind of success at that age. My life may have been very different if I had started out that young.”
On her career Rachel reveals that she would love to star in a musical and more particularly she would ‘kill’ to play Baby in Dirty Dancing. She says she is always looking to make ’smart film choices’ as an actress and in the past has listed Kirsten Dunst, Scarlett Johansson, Keira Knightley and Natalie Portman as actresses who land the roles she most wants to play.
Rachel has no time for the column inches taken up in fashion and celebrity mags about how girls should or should not look, and says;
“You know what I hate? The amount of attention that is put on weight and body image. It is so backwards and sends out the wrong message. ‘What do you eat? Do you work out?’ It’s not what young girls should be stressing about. They look up to these actresses and read about plastic surgery and what they do and don’t eat. I eat, I love food, I wanna eat when I wanna eat. If you are not feeling good about yourself, then you work out. But you do it for you.”
She would love to do more fashion designing, “But only if I could do it properly,” says Rachel. “I think Sienna Miller’s clothing line with her sister [Twenty8Twelve] is really clever and the Olsen twins make great clothes with The Row and Elizabeth and James. They are examples of talented people who have done it right. Some people just put their name on stuff, but those guys are authentic and know what they are doing because they have good taste. That’s the difference.”

How can she say that she misses the cast when she doesn’t make an effort to see them? If you read interviews with the other cast members(Ben, Adam, Peter) they say that they keep in touch with each other. and with Melinda and Kelly as well.
She also lives in LA and her schedule is even less hectic than some of her former co-stars who have landed more work than her. So why hasn’t she made the effort?
The only one she remains close to is Josh Schwartz.
