Kate Moss has had a quiet time of it recently but she was back in the news over the last week or two, firstly for her entrepreneurial skills in setting up a jam making business and secondly she is allegedly looking for a new holiday home.

Both news items featured in the Sun newspaper who’s ubiquitous source claimed that Kate had bought ‘loads of expensive equipment for making jam’.

She went on to add that there is so much fruit on the models land at her home in the Cotswold’s and she wanted to put it to good use. Apparently the jam making started as an hobby but appears to have spiralled into a business idea following favourable comments from anyone who had been given a sample.

Kate’s Damson Jam as it is known may even find its way onto the shelves of a supermarket near you, Kate has allegedly spoken to her friend Sir Phillip Green, seeking advice on how to market the product.

Despite being so busy the former Agent Provocateur model packed her women’s swimwear and headed off to an island off the coast of Italy this week, where she is reportedly hoping to buy a property.

Once again the ’source’ told the Sun that Moss had already tried to buy a plot of land on the island of Stromboli, after falling in love with the place while on a cruise in the area recently.

Stromboli is home to a live volcano which erupted as recently as April 13th 2009, but Moss seems unperturbed, the Sun source claiming that the model had already made a substantial offer on a piece of land where she would like to build her coastal home.

If she realises her dream Kate Moss will share the island with between 400 and 850 neighbours, although the place gets swarmed with visitors during the summer months.
