Kerry Katona Rushed To Hospital

Joy Ryder - Wednesday 26.03.08, 10:55am

kerryKerry Katona has apparently been rushed to hospital for fear that the mother-to-be is suffering from pre-eclampsia.

Katona left rehab only a few days ago and is now being treated at a Cheshire hospital for this disorder.

Pre-eclampsia only happens to pregnant women but is a potentially deadly complication which affects mother and baby.

According to Max Clifford, she is only there as a “precautionary measure.”

The baby boy, who she is to call Maxwell, is due in May and Mr Clifford went on to say “She’s been in a lot of pain, particularly in the last few days. The symptoms she’s showing are possibly that of pre-eclampsia.”

He said that her feet and legs had been swelling which was giving her problems and “She has been in increasing pain. She can hardly walk… She’s had a pretty rough time. It’s got worse and worse…. we’re hoping that everything will settle down.”

The filming of her reality TV show ‘Crazy in Love’ was due to resume this week but has now been put on hold until the ex-Atomic Kitten singer is well enough to continue.

Mr Clifford said that her husband Mark Croft had taken her to hospital and had remained at her side.
