Kylie Minogue has revealed on US TV, that the first doctor she saw failed to diagnose the breast cancer disease she was suffering from.

The 39-year-old singer said “Because someone is in a white coat and using medical instruments doesn’t necessarily mean they’re right.”

The Australian singer said that she continued with her ‘Showgirl tour’ after seeing a doctor and being told that she was perfectly healthy. She also said that she had heard this had happened to other women too “I don’t want to say that to frighten people but that’s just a fact.” She added “You must follow your intuition and if you have any doubt go back again.”

Ms. Minogue was on the Ellen DeGeneres chat show, and the hostess admitted to having similar experiences and said “I had just had a mammogram and they didn’t find anything and a couple of weeks later I found a lump”. Ellen went onto have a lumpectomy.

Kylie, last year revealed how having cancer had made her angry which helped to energise her in the recording studio after she had completed her treatment.
