The singer, Lily Allen is said to be being treated for depression at a top private clinic. The heartbroken 22 year old has apparently tried to battle it out alone but has now sought help.

Miss Allen has had a disastrous few months, losing her baby, splitting up with her boyfriend and yesterday her car was reported to have been vandalised.

She is supposedly being treated at a residential clinic where she is only allowed out to film her BBC3 chat show and to see friends.

A friend of the star’s has said “The last couple of months have been really hard for Lily. She was so happy to be pregnant and was willing to give up her showbiz life to settle down and have a family. Her miscarriage was a huge blow and she hasn’t really recovered. She had tried to put on a brave face but she found she needed to get some professional help.”

Lily has recently pulled out of performing at the Isle of Wight Festival in June and may delay the release date for her new album.

Her friend added “She is responding well to treatment and is pleased that she is allowed out to film her TV show and to keep in touch with the friends supporting her.” It was on one of the nights out from the clinic that she went to the Groucho Club and came out to find her car vandalised.
