The pop icon, Lulu, 59 years old, has said she is not having anymore Botox injections as too much of it made her face “immovable.”
The Scottish singer said “I used to have Botox and I thought it was fantastic at first. But it quickly fades. Too much of it makes your face immovable and it doesn’t actually help you to look young. So I stopped.”
Lulu has not ruled out cosmetic surgery however, and said “I would consider surgery in the future but, as with everything, it’s a case of going to the best person and having it done in moderation.”
Lulu looks fantastic and years younger than many women of her age, she said “I never go out looking like a bag lady and I even put on lip gloss to walk the dogs. I’ll be trying to look my best until I’m 80 and beyond, god willing.”
The fun-loving star has kept in shape over the years through dance, yoga and walking and is also very careful of her eating habits although she admits to a small treat everyday.
In an interview with the Good Housekeeping magazine she said “To me, feeling good about yourself as you get older is all about your attitude - If you think you’re old, you’ll feel old. It’s important to be open to new experiences. I recently went to Disneyland for the first time in 20 years. There were three of us 60 year olds on a rollercoaster, screaming our heads off. It was white knuckles all the way and I loved it.”
