andyAndy Abraham the former dustman and the runner-up in the 2005 ‘The X Factor’ show will be representing Britain in the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest in Belgrade.

The 38 year old singer triumphed with his song ‘Even If’, beating five other contestants including Michele Gayle who was a hot favourite in a show hosted by Terry Wogan.

In an interview, Andy said “I’m freaked out. What can I say - the public have voted me in and I’m over the moon. I will try my best to make them proud out in Serbia. I really hope people in Europe will give the song a chance.”

Andy’s first album ‘The Impossible Dream’ went platinum selling nearly 180,000 copies in its first week. However, the bookies think that the song has little chance of success and William Hill are said to have made him 25-1 outsider.

William Hill do indeed have Abraham at 25/1 to win Eurovision.

Although they haven’t got a full book on the contest, it’s interesting to note that the bookie gives Dustin the Turkey odds of only 6/1 and even thinks Turkey giving Dustin the Turkey a full 12 points is more likely - at 20/1
