Ex-Eastenders actress and singer, Michelle Gayle, is set to compete against five other contestants for the chance to represent the UK in the Eurovision Song Contest.
The other contestants include runners up from reality TV series ‘the X-Factor’, ‘Any Dream Will Do’ and ‘How Do You Solve A Problem Like Maria’.
Michelle who played Hattie Tavernier in Eastenders back in the 90’s also had a top-ten single in 1994 called ‘Sweetness’ which reached number 4.
It will be up to the public to vote on the six acts and the winner will be announced on March 1st on ‘Eurovision: Your Decision’ on the BBC, presented by Terry Wogan.
The Eurovision will take place in Belgrade on May 24th and it will be the 53rd edition of the Song Contest to take place.
