Noel Gallagher, the former Oasis guitarist, is to become a father again after announcing that the mother of his two-year-old son Donovan, is pregnant with his third child.

Gallagher has a ten-year-old daughter Anais, who lives with ex-wife Meg Matthews.  He and his partner Sara McDonald are said to be delighted at the news that they are to have a new play mate for their young son.

The couple have been getting stick from friends after admitting that the baby was conceived in South Africa during a holiday, and feel that the new addition should be named Nelson in honour of Nelson Mandela.

Tonight, Noel will be playing his first solo gig since separating from Oasis where he is expected to make his first public announcement of his happy news at the Royal Albert Hall in London.
