Vodafone VIP has set Vodafone McLaren Mercedes F1™ drivers Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button their toughest challenge to date. The teammates were tasked with styling, directing and photographing an eccentric high-end British Summer fashion shoot under the watchful eye of renowned stylist Valentine Fillol-Cordier.
Plunged head first into the world of fashion, the film follows Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button on set as, assisted by Valentine Fillol-Cordier, they style models Charlotte W and Eve Delf in iconic British-inspired outfits. Having put their styling prowess to the test, the drivers select props for the shoot with Lewis then taking the role of photographer and Jenson as photographer’s assistant.
Jenson was quick to get to grips with the outfit selection, as well as the intricacies of lighting, composition and camera setups, while Lewis also tackled his role confidently. “I’ve done several photo shoots”, Lewis commented, “so I kind of see how photographers behave and act. And obviously I’ve seen Austin Powers so that’s where I really took my inspiration from!” Both models seemed to have just as much fun as the drivers, with Charlotte W describing the day as “hilarious” and “completely different to any shoot I’ve ever been on”.
Previous Vodafone VIP online films have seen the drivers assemble their own F1™ car, and nab the best spots at their favourite festival by turning up in the depths of winter.
The film is just one element of Vodafone VIP, which gives customers access to the best of British festival, fashion and Formula 1™ events. Whether it’s the 2011 Formula One Satander British Grand Prix, music festivals or exclusive front row seats at London Fashion Week shows, Vodafone will be supplying customers with the hottest tickets and money can’t buy experiences. All Vodafone customers can register for Vodafone VIP by going online.
The film launches on the 27 June, ahead of the 2011 F1 Satander British Grand Prix on the 8th – 10th July.

What do Skinny Genes singer Eliza Doolittle and The Wanted heartthrob Jay McGuiness have in common?
In addition to having heaps of talent, they’re dedicated to a compassionate, vegetarian lifestyle – and it’s that dedication that has netted them each the title of PETA’s Sexiest Vegetarians.
Thousands of votes were cast in this year’s poll on PETA.org.uk to help PETA choose the winners, who faced stiff competition from 99 other finalists, including Leona Lewis, Joss Stone, Russell Brand, Sir Paul McCartney, Joaquin Phoenix, Natalie Portman and Chantelle Houghton.
Eliza Doolittle is a lifelong vegetarian, thanks to her mother, Tony award-winning Les Miserables star Frances Ruffelle. She’s been known to sing the praises of her vegetarian diet in interviews, saying of one trip to Jamaica to film a music video, “Oh my God, the food was amazing! I’m vegetarian so I didn’t have any jerk chicken or anything, but I did have some bean soup … it was so yummy!” Some of her favourite dishes include nut loaf, veggie pitas from Nando’s and vegetarian sushi.
Jay McGuiness has also loved animals from an early age. In an interview, his mother described his childhood habit of ignoring his family’s football matches in favour of “talking to … the ladybirds. … He loved animals”. He shares his home with his lizard, Neytiri, and says that if he were ever to advertise a product, it would have to be “Quorn, the fake meat. I’m a veggie and I eat it a lot”.
Previous winners include Leona Lewis, Anthony Kiedis and Fiona Phillips.

Whatever your choice of hairstyle, it’s all about hair control!
It’s all well and good getting ready for a night out in the comfort of your own home but what perils await you and your hair if you are going away for a summer break? It’s one thing styling your hair before you go out to a party or for dinner date but quite another if you plan to spend the day out in the sun or on the beach.
There are plenty of hair gels, wax, foam and sprays to control hair for all occasions; whether you are looking for elegant style and panache or as is the case with many celebrities, something to make your hair look wild, messy, untamed or damn right scruffy.
Feeling good about your hair whether mimicking a Hollywood A-list celebrity at the Oscars or a surfer just washed up on the shore, it’s all about control and style, and the confidence that gives you. So here are three products worth packing in your summer holiday bags if you want to avoid bad hair days.
Bumble & Bumble Surf Spray
Bumble & Bumble Surf Spray is an excellent way to add volume and texture while controlling wavy hair for a visit to the beach this summer.
Ingredients include seaweed and kelp extracts to give your hair a natural-looking, salty, sundried look. Bumble & Bumble Surf Spray is used by among others, Jade Jagger who is quoted as saying she wears the product in London when not at home in Ibiza.
Another valuable product for summer hair care is Bumble & Bumble Sumotech Tonic.
This product is great for the scalp and hair roots. Its low pH (lower than water) lubricates and detangles hair and smoothes the hair cuticle replenishing dried hair with a natural-looking shine.
Sumotech Tonic is perfect if you have used styling creme through the day and come the evening, you want to revitalise and freshen up your hair for an evening meal or cocktails.
Another ‘must-have’ is Bumble & Bumble Does It All – a spray that helps hair respond to heat tools while protecting it. It helps with back-combing, pinning up or curling your hair by giving the hair volume with subtle degrees of control and natural movement. Fashion icon Stephanie Seymour uses ‘Does It All’.
Whatever your choice of hair products, don’t be going on summer holiday unprepared. One bad hair day can spoil your chance to impress.
