Patrick Swayze is apparently still smoking even though he is undergoing radical chemotherapy in an effort to treat his cancer.

Photographs supposedly showing the star with a cigarette in his mouth were taken moments before boarding a plane at San Carlos Airport on the 10th March 2008.

They are said to be the first photo’s of Patrick since he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and he was looking pale and very gaunt.

He has allegedly been smoking three packs of cigarettes a day for years and it is known that smoking is one of the major risks for pancreatic cancer with smokers twice as likely to get the disease than non-smokers.

It is claimed that Patrick is undergoing experimental treatment for his cancer which includes chemotherapy combined with a new drug. His mother Patsy said “It breaks my heart to know he is suffering. But he bears it. He’s hanging in there and getting the best treatment he can. He doesn’t deserve to get this. He’s got such a big heart.”

There have been thousands of good luck messages sent to the star as if proof was needed of how much he is thought of throughout the world.
