Yesterday came the reports that Patrick Swayze only had five weeks to live, which now proves not to be the case.
In a report in the National Enquirer, which was supposedly from an insider, it said that “he was told he could have two more treatments, but his cancer was not responding. In short - they held out little hope for a cure.” It sounded like a hospice care situation from which there was nothing more that could be done.
Patrick’s rep then made a statement which also suggested it was only a matter of time for the beloved actor. Thankfully reports are now being rectified after a new statement from Patrick’s doctor was released in which he describes the report in the National Enquirer as overblown, and that the cancer is limited and under control. He is expected to be back at work soon. Here is the statement from People.com:
” Patrick has a very limited amount of disease and he appears to be responding well to treatment this far”, Doctor Fisher says in a statement. “All of the reports stating the time frame of his prognosis and his physical side effects are absolutely untrue. We are considerably more optimistic.”
The actors rep adds: “Patrick is continuing his normal schedule during this time, which includes working on upcoming projects. The outpouring of support and concern he has already received from the public is deeply appreciated by Patrick and his family.”
Some good news at last, lets hope he makes a quick and full recovery.
