Ray Winstone has been lined-up to play Detective Inspector Jack Regan in a remake of the 70’s TV classic The Sweeney.
The Sweeney was about the Metropolitan Police Flying Squad which made a star out of the late John Thaw and at its peak, pulled in 19 million viewers to ITV plus there were two movies.
Ray, now 50-years-old is not the only member of the family in the news this week as his model daughter, Jaime Winstone who not only stood in for Kate Moss to model for Vivienne Westwood but also launched her new BBC3 drama phoo Action.
