The funeral of the TV Presenter Mark Speight, took place today in Wolverhampton, attended by 200 mourners.

Mr Speight was found hanged near a railway station, on 13th April after he became depressed following the death of his fiancée, Natasha Collins.

The presenter’s father, Oliver Speight said that his son had been a poet, comedian and artist with a special talent for making people laugh and smile.  He said that he was a Pied Piper figure who took children on a “magical mystery tour” of art.

He said how deeply moved himself and his family had been by the amount of emails from children expressing their sympathy after Mark’s death.

Mark Speight was 42-years-old when he died and had hundreds of young fans due to his BBC show SMart and also for presenting art and craft on the This Morning Show on ITV.
